Joan K. O'Donnell

Age 89 years, of Broomall, PA. and Ocean City, NJ.  On July 17, 2021 at Rose Tree Place. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was raised in Upper Darby, PA. and graduated from West Catholic High School for Girls, class of 1949. She was active with a special group of childhood friends who formed a sorority. They enjoyed a lifetime bond and shared many outings and events through the years.  Mrs. O'Donnell lived in Broomall, PA for more than 64 years, and also enjoyed her time in Ocean City, NJ where she loved the beach and shore life.  Joan was a homemaker who also held several part time  jobs.  She was a member of St. Pius X parish in Broomall.  Known to her family as an accomplished shopper, she was a coupon clipper queen always searching for a bargain.  She enjoyed watching soap operas, crossword and cryptogram puzzles and bowled in several bowling leagues.

Mrs. O'Donnell was the wife of the late George J. who died in 2013. She was the mother of the late Michael H. She is survived by her 3 children Geralyn "Lynn" Levi ( Robert )  Kathleen Donnelly and George G. O'Donnell ( Geri )  Also survived by her 10 grandchildren Brenna, Bridget, Jaclyn, Megan, Matt, Kelley, Kathleen, Casey, Chloe and Harry. She has 15 great grandchildren.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 AM Friday July 23, 2021 in St. Pius X Church Broomall, PA.  Calling will be in the church one hour before the mass  9:30 - 10:30 AM.  Burial will be in St. Denis Cemetery.
