Jay Howard Baker, 61 years, passed suddenly on April 8, 2021 at his home in Arizona.  He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Dawn Simcox Baker.  Jay was the devoted father of Andrew, Matthew and Emily.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen & Thomas Baker, his sister, Beverly, and brother, Tom.

Jay was a lifelong resident of the Media area.  During middle school his father's job took the family to Liberia, Africa where they lived for two years.  The experience had a profound impact on Jay's life and lead to his lifelong support of the Liberian Community abroad and in Philadelphia.  Jay ultimately graduated from Penncrest High School and Widener University.  He enjoyed a long career as a compliance officer with Penn Mutual Life Insur. Co.  He became a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist and most recently began working with Wells Fargo in their Financial Crimes division.

Jay was an Elder at Middletown Presbyterian Church and a longtime Coach and Board Member of the Media Little League.  He was a loving husband and father who was happiest spending time with his family.

Friends are invited to his funeral on Saturday, April 24 ^th at the Middletown Presbyterian Church, 273 S. Old Middletown Rd., Media, PA 19063.  There will be a visitation in the church from 9:30 – 11:00 am.  The service will begin at 11 am.  Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Middletown Presbyterian Church, Board of Deacons.
