Obituary

Janis Page Hodges, 67, a resident of Wallingford, PA passed away peacefully at Chester Crozer Hospital on July 3, 2022. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, step-mother, cousin and friend to anyone she met who will be deeply missed by her friends and family.

Born in 1954 to Janice (née Bidwell) and the late Warren Hodges, Page was a lifelong resident of Wallingford, Pa. where she was a graduate of Nether Providence High School in 1972.

For over 30 years, Page left an unforgettable mark on Media, Pa. residents and Swarthmore College students where she spent time working at numerous popular dining establishments. Page was notorious for becoming an instant friend to anyone she had the pleasure of serving or working with.

In her spare time, Page had a passion for running, modeling, art, writing and generally making friends anywhere she went. In a fast paced world of one-word text messages, emojis and pictures, Page had a skill and love for crafting carefully articulated handwritten notes/letters/cards complete with hand drawn pictures and maybe a chocolate or a candy hidden somewhere just to let you know she had stopped by. For years, she made beautifully handcrafted Christmas cards that were treasured by their recipients. In her free time, Page could always be found walking around and saying hello to everyone she met, especially on the campus of Swarthmore College.

Page was driven by her undeniable love of family and friends. Whether it was sitting bedside as her father's health deteriorated, or simply spending a few minutes to color and draw with her grand nieces and nephews, she truly cherished every moment and memory she created with family and friends.

Page was preceded in death by her father Warren Hodges, brother William Hodges and ex-husband Gianfranco (John) D'ambrosio.

She is survived by her mother, Janice Hodges (née Bidwell) of Wallingford, brother Dean Hodges (Barbara) of Media, sister-in-law Mary Alice Cauley, step-daughter Kiersten D'ambrosio, her nephews, grand-niece and grand-nephews
