James Russell Ross, age 65, of Media, PA passed away on Friday, June 2, 2023 at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Jimmie was born on June 18, 1957, at Chester, PA, a son of James William and Janet (Austin) Ross. Jim spent the majority of his life growing up, living and working in Delaware County, PA. After graduating from Sun Valley High School in 1976, Jim went to work at Crozer Chester Medical Center until he retired in 2017.

Jim was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, and enjoyed spending time and fellowship with his family and friends. Jim was a loving, supportive son, grand son, brother, cousin, nephew, uncle and friend. Though he suffered through many challenges his entire life, he focused on acceptance and doing what he could do to help others. He was fiercely devoted to family and friends, especially to his brothers and sisters at Christ Church Media where he was active in the many miniseries of the congregation.

Jim would have celebrated his 66th birthday on June 18, but now he will be celebrating a heavenly birthday in the company of all those loved ones who have gone before him.

In addition to many special friends, Jim is survived by his mother, Janet A. Ross of Lewes, DE, a sister, Janis (Wayne) Yskamp of Mansfield, PA, two brothers, Jeffrey (Sheila) Ross of Lewes, DE and Jonathan (Julie) Ross of Douglasville, PA, 8 nieces and nephews, great-neices, great nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, James.

Friends and family are invited to gather for a memorial service at Christ Church, 311 S. Orange St., Media, PA on Sunday, June 11th at 2pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to Christ Church or Shriner's Hospital for Children in Jim's name. Final arrangements have been entrusted to Rigby Harting & Hagan Funeral Home, 15 E. Fourth St., Media PA.
