James L. Robbins, D.M.D. died peacefully at home with his loving wife and son by his side on March 23, 2021 at the age of 69.  Dr. Robbins was a respected oral and maxillofascial surgeon who served the Media community at his private practice for over 35 years.

Born in White Plains and raised in Scarsdale, NY, Jim was a graduate of McBurney School in Manhattan.  He attended Washington University in St. Louis before obtaining his D.M.D. from Tufts Dental School.  Dr. Robbins served his internship with Brooklyn Cumberland Medical Center and his fellowship with St. Mary's in St. Louis for maxillofascial reconstruction.  Dr. Robbins began his career with Pennsylvania Oral and Maxillofascial Surgery before opening his own practice in Media, PA., for over 35 years then joined PAOMS.

Always community-oriented, Jim was a great supporter of the Media Little League where he volunteered for many years as a coach and umpire.  He enjoyed scuba diving and underwater photography.  He loved to golf, ride his bike, play cards and watch baseball and football.  He read constantly and loved a good movie, and above all he enjoyed time spent with his family.

Jim was recently preceded in death by his son Chase Robbins.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years Kathleen Robbins, his son Broderick Robbins of Los Angeles, his granddaughter Charlotte Phillips, and his sister Elizabeth Walley of NY, NY.

Dr. Robbins' funeral service will be Saturday, March 27 ^th at the Rigby Harting & Hagan Funeral Home on 4 ^th St in Media.  The service will begin at 2:00 pm.  Friends may call from 1:30 – 2 pm.  The Robbins family will remain after the service to continue greeting friends and family.
