James William Gamble Macleod, age 77, formerly of Norwood and Secane, PA, died peacefully Sunday September 15, 2019 at Fair Acres in Lima, PA.

Born in Philadelphia to the late Evelyn and Norman Macleod, Jr., James was a longtime resident of Norwood, PA. After high school, he served as a Commander in the Coast Guard Third District and received a National Service Defense Medal. After an honorable discharge, he began working at the Boeing plant in Ridley where he worked in payroll for over 40 years. James was a member of the Masonic Temple and he attended Imago Dei Metropolitan Community Church in Glen Mills.

He was recently predeceased by his beloved husband, Henry Weitz. James and Henry spent 35 years together and were married for the last five.

James is survived by his sister-in-law, Donna Macleod, of Augusta, GA; nephew, Shawn Macleod (Amanda McGavin); niece, Kellie Laird (Phillip); and niece, Jennifer Miller.  He is also survived by close friends Jimmy Joe Jochims, Shane Kauffman, Jim Oakes, and other friends and neighbors.

A  memorial service will be held Saturday October 5, 2019 beginning at 2:00 PM at The Unitarian Universalist Church of Delaware County, 145 Rose Tree Road, Media PA 19063. www.uucdc.org
