James Edgar Barnhart, age 61 years, passed away on December 10, 2019.

James was born to Edgar and Ethel (nee Willard) Barnhart, in Waynesboro, PA where he was raised.  He graduated from Waynesboro High School. He moved to the Philadelphia area to work as a technician with the phone company before his retirement.  James lived in Lansdowne, PA for the last 18 years. He was a faithful member of The Garden Church in Lansdowne.

James enjoyed crocheting blankets that he gave as gifts, was an avid reader, and loved listening to music.  He was predeceased by his parents and his sister Janice Hempt. He is survived by his sister Patricia Dunlap of Pensacola, FL; his brother Dennis Barnhart and his wife Barbara of Blue Ridge Summit, PA; and nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held in the Waynesboro area at the convenience of the family (tentatively set for late January).
