Irene Jeanette Green Gallagher, age 65, passed away peacefully on February 21. 2021.  Irene was a lifelong resident of Media, Pennsylvania.  She was born at Crozer Chester Medical Center to Eugene and Betty Green on October 2, 1955, and attended Penncrest High School

Irene is survived by her beloved husband, Thomas Gallagher, her son, Cresson Green (Denise), and her grandchildren, Casey, Justin and Kyle Green.  She is also survived by her sister Edie May Ramsey (Ed), her brothers Edward Green (Kayli) and Howard Green (Sally), as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends that she loved like family.

Irene was devoted to her family, and she had an infectious laugh.  She loved gardening and caring for her yard, long walks at Ridley Creek State Park with her dogs, weekly dinners out and motorcycle rides with her husband.  She was a doting grandmother and enjoyed spoiling her three grandsons as often as she could.  Her family will cherish her memory.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday February 27th calling from 2pm -3pm and service at 3pm at Rigby Harting & Hagan Funeral Home, 15 E. 4th Street Media, PA 19063.  The family kindly requests that all who attend wear a mask and observe social distancing.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations be made to the Providence Animal Center in Irene's memory.
