Harriet M. DiFabio, age 92, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, died peacefully on August 30, 2026. A resident of Wesley Enhanced Living, Harriet previously resided in Aston for thirty-four years and Norwood for nearly three decades.

Born in Philadelphia and raised in Sharon Hill, Harriet was one of five children born to the late Harold and Hazel (née Schultz) Lewis. She graduated from Sharon Hill High School in 1951and worked as a clerk with Eagle Electric and a Service Specialist with Conrail for many years. She was an active member of Mount Hope Methodist Church in Aston and volunteered with the Red Cross and Angel Food.

Harriet was the beloved wife of the late Henry E. DiFabio with whom she shared 43 years of marriage and ten loving children. Harriet was a devoted mother and the kindest and most hospitable person. Her home was open to anyone, and she absolutely loved entertaining family and friends. Harriet loved to dance the Jitterbug and traveled any chance she could.

Harriet was preceded in death by her husband Henry ; her sons, John, Steve and Frank; and her sisters Peggy Barton, Esther Bjornstad, and Sheila Hamilton.

She is survived by her children Patricia Carlisle (Alan) of The Villages, FL, Katrina Maurer of Nescopeck, PA, Pete DiFabio of Springfield, WV, Hank DiFabio (Marianne) of Avondale, PA, Rita Shaffer (Scott) of Maple Shade, NJ, Andrea DiFabio of Wilmington, DE, and Lou DiFabio (Brian) of Dunnellon, FL. She is survived by 19 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and her brother Francis Lewis-Pratt of Media, PA.

There will be a calling on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 from 10:00-11:00 am at Toppitzer Funeral Home at Arlington Cemetery with a service beginning at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Arlington Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Guiding Eyes or the American Cancer Society.
