Obituary

Geraldine (Gerry) Anne Beauchamp (nee Marley) passed away peacefully on Friday, June 2, 2023, following a long illness. Gerry was born February 12, 1938, in Upland, PA and spent most of her life in Douglassville, PA before, finally, moving to the beach in retirement. At the time of her death, she made her home near her daughter, Liane.

Gerry is survived by her children Susan (Bill) Mullins, Robert Beauchamp, and Liane (Rob) Decker; and many grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Agnes (nee Ulshafer); husband Gordon, and son, Brian.

Gerry loved being with her family and she enjoyed raising her children and going to all their different events. She was especially excited to welcome grandchildren to her life and loved time spent with them. She was beautiful, funny, family proud, and tough all at the same time. She enjoyed celebrating any special day or event, documenting the moments that were special to her.

Throughout her 85 years, Gerry spent many days, gardening, having tea, and chatting. Gerry was an avid reader and enjoyed her wine at the end of the day. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed… especially her laugh and sense of humor. She was one of a kind. Gerry will not be forgotten but remembered and missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

When you think of Gerry, celebrate the good memories you have of her. Remember that life is fragile and short and should be lived to the fullest. She will be missed more than any words could express but she will be forever in our hearts till we meet again.

A Funeral Mass in memory of Gerry will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023 at 10:30 am at St Andrew the Apostle Church in Drexel Hill, PA.

Those who so desire may make memorial donations to the Garden Club of Cape May.
