George Wood died peacefully on May 22, 2023, two days after his 74th birthday.  Son of the late George and Margaret (née McMahon) Wood, George resided in Media for much of his life. He was a proud Army veteran and beloved brother to his five siblings.

George attended Computer Programming School after graduating from Cardinal O'Hara High School in 1969. He served in the US Army during Vietnam as a radio operator as well as a dog handler.  He enjoyed a lengthy career as a service writer for various auto dealers. George had a great appreciation for cars and enjoyed fishing in his free time.

George is survived by four of his siblings: Janis Catano of Halifax, N.S.; Steve Wood of Media, PA; Michael Wood of Hopkins, MN; and Sheila Cavalier of Aston, PA.  George's sister, Lauren Fabre, died in 2020.
