Garfield was born April 29 ^th , 1961. He was educated in the Chester Upland School District. Garfield held numerous jobs throughout the years.  Prior to his illness the last job he held was at Labor Ready Inc.

Garfield, loved to eat, cook, and could prepare a delicious meal. He was also proud to be a momma's boy; everyone knew his mother had a tight hold on him, but he didn't mind being picked on about it and neither did she.  She knew his pants size, his belt size, and even knew he had a nurse crush at Fair Acres. Garfield never grew accustomed to being in a nursing home he was a very particular person and cared about his appearance.

He was preceded in death by his sister Gardenia Wilson, His stepfather Robert L. McBride who raised him, and his stepbrother Gary McBride.

Garfield leaves to cherish his memory his mother E. Victoria Wilson, son Mustafa Montanez, one grandson Dylon Montanez all of Chester Pa. His Sister Rachelle Wilson of Newark De., His Stepbrother Ron McBride, Stepsister Tonia Child both of Chester Pa. Stepsister Nileen McBride of Mableton Ga. His wife Lisa Wilson of Chester Pa. Eighteen Nieces and Nephews, and more than thirty great nieces and nephews, a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends.

Friends and family are invited to his memorial service at the Rigby Harting & Hagan Funeral Home, 15 E. Fourth St. Media, PA 19063 on Friday, June 25, 2021.  There will be a visitation at the funeral home from 10-11 am.  Garfield's memorial will begin at 11 am.
