Francis X. Taylor, age 83, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2021.  Born at Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital to the late Herbert V. and Frances P. (Curran) Taylor and raised in Upper Darby, Francis attended St. Lawrence Catholic School, West Catholic High School, and Lasalle University. Francis enjoyed a long career with AAA Mid Atlantic Travel as a manager before his retirement in 2001 after nearly 40 years.  He was a Certified Destination Specialist from the Institute of Certified Travel Agents.

As a Catholic, Francis was very active in his faith and had a deep devotion to the Blessed Mother.  He studied with the Brothers of the Christian Schools where he was known as Brother Domenic Francis FSG.  He was a former lector at St. Philomena Parish, a member of the Bereavement Choir at St. John Fisher, and worked with the Media Missionary for Mother Angelica.

Francis was a lover of Broadway shows and movies.  He enjoyed bowling and loved to travel. Among the many places he visited, a favorite of his was Bermuda.

Francis is survived by nephews Victor Taylor and John Taylor (wife Sharon), nieces Deborah McKay (husband Patrick) and Denise (Taylor) Campbell, and cousins Patricia (Potter) Althouse, Florence (Trudy) (Hayward) Cohen, and Gladys (Hayward) Meade.  He is also survived by a special friend, James P. Maher, along with with many other relatives and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 13th at St. John Fisher Church. Friends and family are invited to a visitation from 9:15-10:15.  Mass will begin at 10:30 am followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery.
