Francis J. Sortino Jr., age 93, of Media, PA, passed away on April 30, 2022.  He was the beloved husband of the late Grace (nee Keating) Sortino., a dedicated father, and proud grandfather.

Frank was born and raised in Media and graduated from Media High School in 1946. He attended Temple University.  Frank served in the US Navy from 1947 to 1953 and in the WWII Reserve.  A skilled masonry contractor, Frank established Sortino & Sons Masonry Contractors which he operated for 50 years.

As a lifetime Media resident, Frank was one of the original 100 founding families of St. Mary Magdalen Parish in Upper Providence Twp. He was a proud supporter of the Media Little League where he dedicated countless hours over 22 years.  In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking and making furniture.  In recent years, Frank spent most his time in Sea Isle City, NJ where he could be near family.

Frank was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Grace.

He is survived by his sons Frank Sortino III of Sea Isle and James Sortino of Danville, CA; grandchildren Frank J. Sortino IV, Quillen Sortino, & Kierdele Sortino; and his brother, Albert Sortino of VT.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate his funeral mass at St. Mary Magdalen Church (2400 N. Providence Rd. Media, PA) on Saturday, May 21, 2022.  There will be a viewing from 9:30-11:00 am with mass to follow at 11.  Burial: SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
