Francis Xavier
Mulgrew
Dec 9, 1971 — May 27, 2025
Francis Xavier Mulgrew, "Frank", age 53, passed away on May 27, 2025 at Chester County Hospital in South Carolina. Frank was born in West Chester, PA on December 9, 1971 to Francis and Ida (nee Rotteveel) Mulgrew.
One of three boys, Frank spent his formative years along with his brothers in Chadds Ford, PA and graduated from Bishop Shanahan High School in 1989. He went on to graduate from Indiana University of PA in 1993 and continued his studies at the University of Glasgow. Education was important to Frank. He was a lifelong student and worked as an adjunct professor for the MBA Program at University of Pennsylvania and with the Philosophy Department at Belmont Abbey in North Carolina. He ran his own consultancy for many years before opening Xavier's Fine Wine and Gifts.
Frank was an accomplished musician and painter, a philosopher, and an entrepreneur. He was a proud Philly sports fan and loved to follow Glasgow Football Club of Scotland. A man of great faith, Frank volunteered with the Knights of Columbus. He was a Catholic gentleman and scholar whose interest in people was a reflection of the love that comes from faith.
Frank is survived by his siblings Patrick Mulgrew of Catawba, South Carolina and John Mulgrew of Bearsden, Scotland. He is also survived by sisters-in-law Constance Mulgrew & Catherine Mulgrew and his niece and nephew Kate and William Mulgrew.
