Obituary

Flora was born in Glasgow Scotland, the middle of nine children to Harry & Agnes (Nixon) McDonald.  She loved to tell stories of her childhood and most of them ended badly.  They didn't have much but they had fun and a ton of stories.  She left home at 17 to go to Canada but after a short time there she traveled south to Philadelphia.  She worked as a nanny until she met her future husband, Robert Dunn.  They fell in love quickly and married just as fast.  They had their first daughter, Patricia, followed by their daughter, Collene.  They started their lives together in Southwest Philadelphia and soon after their daughters were born they moved to Delaware County.  They bought a small shore house in the Villas which they would cram as many friends and family in as they could.  Summers were filled with beach days, hitting as many bars as they could, and tons of family coming from Scotland to spend the summers.  They moved from their tiny house in the Villas to a beautiful house in North Wildwood where the family would come to be together.  She spent her summers in North Wildwood working for the Wildwood Police Department as a meter maid.  She enjoyed walking around Wildwood giving out as many tickets as she could.  When her daughters grew up she started working at Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital.  She was well known and well loved at Fitz by all the staff.  After her retirement her and her husband moved to Media where she started her notorious one sided fights with the deer.  They were the bane of her existence and we all laughed while she would yell at them from her back door. The deer took no notice of the little Scott and kept on helping themselves to the many different plants she planted. She loved watching YouTube videos on baking and her husband was her willing taste tester. She loved her family more than anything in the world and her greatest gift was her five grandchildren, Robbie, David, Alyson, Matthew and Jake.  She adored them and took great delight in spoiling them as much as possible.  She will be missed by all who had the privilege of meeting her.  Flora is survived by her adoring Husband of 53 years Robert J. Dunn, her Daughters, Patricia (Thomas) and Collene (Gregg) and her five grandchildren, Robert, David, Alyson, Matthew and Jake. Donations in her memory may be made to Lisa's Army, 8945 Ridge Ave., Unit 8, Philadelphia, PA  19128

Funeral Mass will be 11am Friday January 28th at St. Mary Magdalen Church 2400 N. Providence Rd Media, Pa.  Friends and family may call 10am to 11am prior to the Mass.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
