Etheldreda T. Cassidy, "Dreda" (99) born on June 30, 1924 in Audubon, NJ, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 4, 2023. Dreda was a woman of strong Christian faith. She had tremendous compassion and conviction, and touched those she met with her grace. She loved her neighbors and countless "strangers' as the Postmaster of Cheyney Post Office for 36 years, retiring on her 80th birthday. Family was her greatest joy. Her Cheyney, Pa home was her sanctuary where her last days were filled with family and laughter. She loved traveling, reading, studying the Bible, and being with people.

Dreda's husband, Jim of 57 years died in 2004. She is survived by her twelve children: Mary Lou Kramer (Jack), Rosemary Cassidy (Pete), Margaret Sidlick (Paul), Ann Marie Cassidy (Tom), Jim Cassidy, Jack Cassidy (Karen), Maureen Cassidy (Tom), Mark Cassidy (Erin), Dreda Kelley (Bernie), Joe Cassidy (Leslie), Michael Cassidy (Jen), and Tricia Norquist (Eric), her wonderful grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 10:30-12:00 on Saturday, July 29, 2023 followed by a Celebration of her life at 12:00 noon at Calvary Chapel of Delaware County, 500 Brandywine Dr., Chadds Ford, Pa, 19317.
