Erick Gunnar Johnson III, age 79, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2024 at Maris Grove.  He was the beloved husband of Janet (nee Carlberg), a devoted father and a proud grandfather.  He will be deeply missed by his family.

Erick was born in Camden, NJ to the late Erick G. Johnson II and June (nee Meunier). He graduated from Haddon Heights High School in 1963 where he excelled in athletics, especially football and baseball.  A football scholarship took Erick to Virgina Tech, and after graduating in 1968, he began his career in chemical sales. Throughout his career, Erick worked with DuPont. Co., Foxboro Co., Betz Chemicals, RMT Four Nines, and General Electric.

Erick's love of sports continued throughout his life. He enjoyed tennis, taking walks, and all forms of exercise.  He was a big fan of college football and always supported his children and grandchildren at their sporting events.  Erick looked forward to vacations and took great care in planning trips.  He enjoyed sailing, gardening, working on genealogy and listening to classical music.

In addition to Janet, his wife of 56 years, Erick is survived by children Kristin Talko (Gregg) of Lilly, PA, Erica Stowell (David) of Glen Allen, VA, and Dana Parrott (Raleigh) of Fredericksburg, VA.  He is survived by seven grandchildren Brock Talko, Trey Talko, Drake Talko, Riley Midkiff, Reid Stowell, Declan Parrott and Austin Parrott.  He is also survived by his sister Barbara Switzer (John) of Carmel, IN, niece Kim Johnson and nephew Ryan Johnson.
