Eileen M. Belanger (nee Glen), age 74, a longtime resident of Media, PA, passed away in the comfort of her home in the early hours of June 12th with her loving husband by her side.

Eileen was born and raised in Philadelphia where she attended Good Sheppard School, West Catholic Girls High School and St Joseph's University.  She was a resident of Philadelphia for 31 years, before moving to Secane and eventually settling in Media where she spent the past 37 years in a home that she helped build with her own hands.

Mrs. Belanger worked as a Senior Preparer with H&R Block for 15 years and spent over 30 years with the US Environmental Protection Agency as a manager.  Always politically engaged, Eileen was a member of the Women's Democratic Club of Delaware County and the Pennsylvania Federation of Democratic Women.  She was dedicated to her faith and served her church, St. Mary Magdalen, as a eucharistic minister.

Eileen is survived by her husband of 37 years, William E. Belanger; her stepson Paul of Buffalo, NY and stepdaughter Martine of Philadelphia; 4 grandchildren; and her brother Douglas Glen of Galloway, NJ.  She was preceded in death by her sister, Marion Devlin.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary Magdalen Church on Thursday, June 17th.  Visitation in the church from 10-11 am.  Mass will begin at 11 am.  Burial to follow at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 2400 N. Providence Rd. Media, PA 19063.
