Edward W. Holmes, age 37, a lifetime resident of Glenolden, died suddenly on December 10, 2022.  A devoted father, son and brother, Edward's family and friends lovingly referred to him as "lil Eddie".

After graduating from Interboro High School in 2004, Eddie began working with his father at E.L. Holmes Restoration.  They worked side-by-side for nearly 20 years, and Eddie eventually became a partner in the business.

Eddie enjoyed fishing, football, and baseball.  He was an alien enthusiast, loved the Grateful Dead, and was an avid concert goer.

Eddie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Marie Rieve.

He is survived by three children, Eddie and Emily Holmes of Glenolden and Gavin Holmes of Springfield; his father, Edward Holmes Jr.; stepmother, Patrice Contro; and co-stepmother, Linda McClay. He is also survived by his siblings Christina & Amy Holmes both of Philadelphia, Jessie Stoltzfus of Chester County, and Julia & Robert Holmes both of Glenolden; grandparents, Robert & Carmela Contro; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Services will be private.
