Dwight Darkow of Glen Mills, PA passed away on Friday, August 9, 2019 at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital. Born in Media, PA, he graduated from Penncrest High School Class of 1977 and Pennsylvania College of Technology. He worked as one of the gardeners at Swarthmore College for the past 20 years. He was an avid skier, cyclist, and loved the outdoors. He played rugby for many years and was an inductee in the Media Rugby Hall of Fame in 2003. Dwight was a passionate environmentalist, recycling, composting, and participating in many creek cleanups.

Dwight is survived by his parents Dwain and Dorothea Darkow, his wife of 35 years, Nancy Darkow; daughter, Rachael Darkow; son, Daniel Darkow; and siblings, Dwain Darkow, Jr., Ruth Tracy (Chuck), and Steve Darkow (Linda); and his nieces and nephews, Adam, Eric, Darrell, Eric, David, Lisa, and Lindsay.

A service will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church, Springfield, PA, on Tuesday at 10:30 AM with a calling from 10-10:30 AM.
