Douglas W. Reece's Obituary
Douglas W. Reece, age 84, passed away on May 14, 2020 at Riddle Hospital. Mr. Reece was a longtime resident of Middletown Twp. He was the beloved husband of Ann Sapovits Reece.
Born and raised in Media, Douglas graduated from Media High School Class of 1954. He enjoyed a long career as a truck driver with J. Ray Patterson, Inc. A man of great faith, Mr. Reece was a member of The Blue Church in Springfield, PA.
Mr. Reece is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ann S. Reece, and his daughters Deborah R. Mellon (John) of Media, PA and Virginia R. Walters (Lee) of Pottstown, PA. He was the proud grandfather to Eric J. Mellon and Kyle R. Mellon and brother of Frederick Reece of Garnet Valley and Charles McMahon of Glen Mills.
Mr. Reece's funeral service and burial at Middletown Presbyterian Church Cemetery will be held privately due to public health restrictions.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Blue Church, 940 Baltimore Pike, Springfield, PA 19064.
