Doris Stokes, a longtime resident of Media, PA and recently of Boothwyn, died peacefully on August 15, 2020.  A loving mother and adoring grandmother, Doris will be missed deeply by her family.

Born and raised in Media, Doris attended Nativity B.V.M. School and graduated from Notre Dame High School in Moylan.  She was a lifetime parishioner of Nativity and worked as a receptionist at Harlee Manor Nursing Home for over forty years.

Doris loved playing Bingo and riding the bus to Atlantic City to play the slots.  She enjoyed long strolls with her dogs and especially treasured time spent with her family.

She is survived by her children Patricia Stokes and Donna Batipps (Ricardo) both of Media; 7 grandchildren Jessica Lees (Nick Monreal), William Lees (Betsy), Edward McCabe (June), Timothy McCabe (Nicole Dunn), Tracy McCabe (Edward Smith), Catlin Clifton (Taylor) and Callie McCabe (Jeremiah Green); and great-grandchildren Sadie Frame; Belle, Ben & Josh Lees; EJ (III), Ella & Arya McCabe; Kyla McCabe; Tanner & Jordin Smith; Taylor (Jr.), Lenna, Kennedy & Stella Clifton; and Jeremiah (Jr.) & Cameron Green. Doris is also survived by her sisters-in-law Margaret Hoopes, Anne Smith, Grace Hatlon and Edith Horan along with many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 20th at Nativity B.V.M. Catholic Church (30 E. Franklin St., Media).  Friends may call from 9:30 - 10:30.  Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m.  Burial will be at a later date.
