Doris (nee Dastous) Bacchieri, 90, formerly of Wareham and Walpole MA, died at her home in West Chester, PA, on March 30, 2021. Doris was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Doris Genevieve Dastous was born to parents Gertrude and Alfred in 1931 in Wareham, MA. She graduated from Wareham High School in 1949 and received her RN from the New England Baptist School of Nursing. Doris married her beloved Joe in 1962. They had 2 daughters, Jane and Deborah, and enjoyed almost 50 years together.

During her long nursing career, Doris worked at the Lahey Clinic in Boston, Miami Heart Institute, Victoria Haven Nursing Facility, and retired as a consultant for the Northeast Region of Hillhaven Corporation. She and Joe returned home to Wareham when they retired and enjoyed spending time with friends, visiting their daughters and grandchildren, and traveling, especially to Italy.

Doris was an avid golfer at Little Harbour Golf Club, and enjoyed playing bridge, dominoes, knitting and reading. She was an active member of her church and in her community. Spending time and keeping in touch with family and friends gave her the most joy.

Beloved wife of the late Joseph who died in 2012, survivors include her daughters, Jane (Kip Pheil) Bacchieri and Deborah (David) Krull; granddaughters Lydia and Heidi Krull.

Visitation: Tuesday, April 6, 2021, 9:30 am SS Peter and Paul Church, 1325 Boot Rd., West Chester, PA, followed by Mass at 10:30. Burial and memorial in Wareham will be announced for the late summer when COVID restrictions are lifted.
