It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Doreen Brenda Smyth of Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, who passed away suddenly on March 9, 2025, at the age of 58. Doreen is survived by her beautiful mother Doreen Smyth, her brother Patrick Smyth, sisters Eileen Walsh, Donna Russell, Kathleen Smyth and fourteen nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her father, Gerald Smyth, her brothers Ronald Smyth (Maureen) and Gerald Smyth, Jr. Doreen graduated from Upper Darby High School in 1984. Doreen would go on to show a wonderful knack for project and office management and organizational problem solving in her professional life, beginning with many successful years at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals. As the youngest in a large Irish family, Doreen embraced life and lived it to the fullest. Doreen smiled most surrounded by loved ones, relishing time at the beach or on her bike racing around Ridley Creek State Park. Whether it be her unique dance style or her witty sense of humor, Doreen made those around her smile. Doreen will always be remembered for her selflessness, kindness to others, beautiful smile and love for her family and friends.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 11 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church 3422 Dennison Avenue, Drexel Hill, PA 19026. Her interment will be held privately.
