Dolores Green, a.k.a. Dolores Warrington Stevens Green, age 86, passed peacefully in her sleep resulting from end stage dementia on February 13, 2020 at the St. Peter's Manor Care Center in Saint Peters, Missouri.
Dolores was born on August 11, 1933 in Philadelphia, PA to Earl Warrington and Margaret Scarduzio. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, her first husband, Robert F Stevens, who passed at 42 years of age in 1975 and also by her second husband, Arthur Green who passed in 1999. She was born into a family of 5 brothers..Earl Warrington (deceased) (Jeanne), Richard Warrington (deceased) (Lena, dec.), Robert Warrington (deceased) (Florence), Gary Warrington (Leslie), Stephen Warrington (deceased).
She is survived by her three children, Debra Stevens Kealey (Chris) of St. Peters, MO, Robert Stevens of Venice, FL, and Marc Stevens of Sarasota, FL. and step-children Michael Green (Cheryl) and Greg Green (Cheryl), both of Clayton, NJ. Dolores is also survived by many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.
As a young woman, Dolores worked as a physicians receptionist. Later in life, she joined her brothers in running a car stereo equipment and installation company. Christmas time was a favorite time of year for Dolores. She and her husband Bob would rent a storefront property at that time of year and stock it full of beautiful Christmas baubles and all things joyous! She and her mother would make Christmas bows using a bow making machine, bag them up, and have the kids sell them door-to-door. It was magical! Dolores loved to play cards, bowl, play piano, and collect dolls. She was crafty, loved to roller skate as a young teen, (still has her roller skates from way back then), enjoyed watching roller derbies, Tom Jones, and ice skating competitions. She LOVED to dance! We say she had happy feet! Music played...she danced! She was a hugger-mugger...upon meeting most people, her first inclination was to take their hand and hug them. Ergo, a hugger-mugger! In her prime, she was a true fashionista...she could rock a pencil skirt, fluffy sweaters and stilettos like no other! Still a beauty though even till the day she slept her way to heaven!
Go Light Your Candle, Dolores.
Rest in Peace.
