Obituary

Dennis Marc Silver
September 3, 1952 – August 29, 2024 (Age 71)

Dennis Marc Silver, a beloved resident of Penn Valley, PA, passed away on August 29, 2024, at the age of 71. Born on September 3, 1952, in Philadelphia, PA, Dennis was raised in Havertown and made Penn Valley his home for the past 27 years. He was the cherished son of Edithe Becker Silver and Arthur Silver, and a loving brother to Meryle Silver.

Dennis had an entrepreneurial spirit and spent many years delivering coffee and snacks to loyal clients through his business, Dennis Vending. Later in life, he became a public insurance adjuster with Dennis Silver Public Insurance Adjuster, dedicating himself to helping others through challenging times.

Dennis found joy in the simple pleasures of life—being surrounded by friends, attending local band performances, and spending time "down the shore." His infectious energy and warmth made him a beloved figure in the community. He was a familiar face to everyone, and his home in Penn Valley was his sanctuary, where he lived until his final days.

Dennis leaves behind his beloved Yorkie, Eli, his beloved sister Meryle, his extended family, Sybil Barnstone, Thomas, Merle, and Erica Daniels, his many friends who became his chosen family, and his music community. His love for music, playing guitar, motorcycles, classic cars, racing, and his free-spirited nature will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. His late Yorkie, Eddie, surely welcomed him with wagging tails.

Dennis's life was a melody of kindness and joy. He will always be remembered for his love of live music and his signature spot in the front row, where his enthusiasm and energy lit up every concert he attended. As Dennis would say, he's simply "left the building." "Let the four winds carry him safely home," and "may there be no sad tomorrow." He would want us to remember the good times, keep the music playing, and celebrate the life he lived to the fullest.

A Celebration of Dennis's Life will be held at a future date, where family and friends will come together to honor his memory and cherish the joy he brought into the lives of everyone who knew him.

The family kindly requests that donations be made in Dennis's memory to either of the following organizations that were close to his heart:
