Denise E. Rankine (née Pulasky), age 68, of Media, PA, passed away peacefully at home on August 21, 2026, after a courageous battle with brain cancer (glioblastoma), surrounded by the love of her family. She was a cherished wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, and aunt whose gentle spirit touched everyone who knew her.

Raised in Cinnaminson, NJ, Denise graduated from Cinnaminson High School in 1975. Dedicated and compassionate, she spent many years serving her community as a Pharmacy Technician with Giant Food Stores.

Denise shared 49 devoted years of marriage with her beloved husband, Kevin. She was the loving mother of Melissa Wolf (Eric) of Seymour, CT, and Michael Rankine (Joanna) of Gainesville, FL, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren Colin and Ryan Wolf. She was the daughter of Emily McFadden (née Flynn) of Honeybrook, PA, and sister to Susan Tezsla (Anthony) of Chesterfield, NJ. Denise was a loving aunt to Natalie, Sophie, and the late Isabelle Tezsla.

An insatiable, avid reader, Denise found endless solace and adventure within the pages of a good book. She could most often be found curled up under a warm blanket with her faithful dog, Zoey, by her side and a cup of coffee—especially her favorite Wawa iced coffee—in hand. Her love for literature extended beyond her armchair; Denise had a passion for the outdoors and embraced the quiet beauty of hiking and camping. She loved exploring new small towns, always drawn to discovering their hidden gems and unique local bookstores.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Main Line Health HomeCare & Hospice for their exceptional care and support during this time, with special appreciation to Denise’s primary nurse, Heather, whose unwavering kindness provided immense comfort to Denise and her loved ones.

A celebration of Denise’s life will take place on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Rigby Harting & Hagan Funeral Home, Media, PA. Friends and family are invited to call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, with a service immediately following at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Media Cemetery.

In honoring the joyful memories of Denise, the Rankine family requests that guests wear colors rather than traditional black attire. In lieu of flowers and in paying tribute to her love of reading, memorial donations may be made in her honor to the Helen Kate Furness Free Library.
