Obituary

David M. Stewart, Sr., age 71, passed away at Lankenau Hospital on August 10, 2022 after a year long fight with kidney disease.  Beloved husband, father and grandfather, David was devoted to his family, his faith and his country.

He was born in Southwest Philadelphia on October 28, 1950 to the late Edwin and Anna Stewart. After graduating from John Bartram High School in 1968 he became an Airforce Sergeant during the Vietnam War.  David lived much of his life in Southwest Philadelphia before moving to Drexel Hill where he resided for the past 20 years.  He worked as a clerk for the Federal Government and with Curtis Circulation.  David became a member of the Blue Church in Springfield in 2001.  His proudest accomplishments were becoming a child of God and his service to his country.

David loved the Philadelphia Flyers, Eagles and Phillies.  He had a great appreciation for Oldies music and always tried to sing along.  He enjoyed role playing games and time spent with his family.

David is survived by his wife of 35 years, Bonnie Stewart; his children Michael Stewart of NJ, David Stewart (Alesandra Lorenzo) of Wayne, PA, and step-daughter Heather Tuck of Drexel Hill, PA; along with four grandchildren Destiny Love, Austin Tuck, Nicole Stewart and Wesley John Stewart.
