David
Hepner
d. Oct 20, 2025
David Hepner November 15, 1966 – October 20, 2025 Drexel Hill, PA
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of David Hepner, who left us on October 20, 2025, at the age of 58.
Born in Port Carbon, PA, David was the cherished firstborn son of Howard and Kathleen Hepner (née Tray). He was a man of quiet strength, deep compassion, and unwavering loyalty to those he loved.
David was the beloved husband of Tricia Hepner, with whom he shared a life full of laughter, music, and meaningful moments. He was a devoted father to Devan Joy of Pine Grove, PA, and Lynsey Deiter of Pottsville, PA, and a proud stepfather to Sean and Joey Artmont. Older brother to Michael Hepner. Known affectionately as "Pop," David adored his grandchildren—Lilly, Harper, Riley, Asher, Sophia, and Joey—and found immense joy in their presence.
A lifelong fan of Philadelphia sports, David's heart beat green for the Eagles and red for the Phillies. He never missed a game and celebrated every win with the same passion he brought to life. His love of music was equally profound, especially the soulful rhythms of the Grateful Dead, which filled his Sunday mornings with peace and reflection.
Summers were sacred to David—whether camping at Knoebel's amusement park or relaxing on the beaches of the Jersey Shore, he found serenity in nature and joy in family traditions.
David will be remembered as a gentle giant: kind, friendly, and always ready with a warm smile or helping hand. His presence was a comfort, his laughter contagious, and his love enduring.
In remembrance of David, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the Eagles Autism Foundation.
