Daniel C. Luther, age 76, died peacefully on September 9, 2025 at Coatesville VA Medical Center in Chester County.

Daniel was born in Upper Darby to the late Robert and Clare (née Mc Carey) Luther. He was a longtime member of St. Alice Church and a graduate of Monsignor Bonner High School. Daniel continued his studies at Kutztown University and served in the US Marine Corp Reserves. He worked for Tetra Tech as a land surveyor for nearly forty years.

Dan married his wife of 54 years in 1971 and together they raised two sons, Shawn and Brian residing in Upper Darby and later Springfield. Dan spent the past fifteen years living in Media. In his free time, he loved to do crossword puzzles and listen to music like Steely Dan, The Eagles, and Mozart. He was a huge fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and the Phillies. Family was the most important thing in his life, and he treasured time spent with them.

Dan is survived by his wife, Donna; his sons Shawn M. Luther (Kim) of Upper Darby and Brian Luther (Susan Faluvegi) of Brookhaven; 2 grandchildren Shawn and Madison; and siblings Suzanne Holstein of Springfield and Michael Luther of Fort Collins, CO.

Services will be announced upon completion of arrangements.
