Cynthia Anne Schenkel, age 67, died peacefully at home on January 11, 2026 after a 10 year-long battle with lung cancer.  Formerly of Media and Drexel Hill, Cindy spent the last six years in Exton in a home she shared with her daughter and granddaughter.

Cindy was the daughter of the late Harold J. Angell and Carol Anne (neé Flounders). Born and raised in Media, she was a graduate of Penncrest High School and continued her studies to earn a degree as a Pharmacy Technician. Cindy worked for over 25 years as a chemotherapy compounding pharmacist for Consultants in Medical Oncology and Hematology and for 15 years prior to that as a Pharmacy Tech Supervisor with Suburban Medical in Marple.

She was a private woman who enjoyed the simple things in life.  She enjoyed family trips to Nags Head, NC and an evening of crabs and beer. She treasured time spent with her family and friends, especially her granddaughter, Lily, whom she lovingly called Scoochie. Cindy had a special talent for home renovation projects and fixing whatever needed her loving touch.

In addition to her parents, Cindy was preceded in death by her loving sister Susan Stott. She is survived by her daughter Rebecca Schenkel, her granddaughter Lily Paige Conroy, her sister Tatjana Nutt (Andy) of Lincoln University, and her dear friends Maureen Decker and Kathleen Tomczak.

Services will be Saturday, January 24th at Rigby Harting & Hagan Funeral Home. Friends and family are invited to calling hours from 3-4:30pm.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society to honor Cindy's memory.
