Cynthia Ellen Flynn, 71, passed away peacefully on October 1st surrounded by her sons Michael and Jason Flynn and sister Lori Wilcox.
Born on August 30th in Chester, Pennsylvania, Cindy was the beloved daughter of Albie and Sheila Brandow. Cindy dedicated her life to helping others. As a young adult, Cindy was an EMT for Media Fire Company where she met her late husband, Jimmy Flynn, and together raised their two sons Michael and Jason.
Cindy was especially passionate about her volunteer work with the American Heart Association. At age 39, Cindy suffered several severe strokes. With a full recovery, she dedicated years to telling her story, educating others, and raising money for the organization. Cindy will always be remembered for her willingness to help others. She never hesitated to offer help and support to others in need. Above all, her greatest joy and source of pride was her family.
Cindy "Bub" is survived by her children Michael and Julia Flynn and Jason and Melanie Flynn, grandchildren Taylor, Lily, Austin, Della, and Cade, sister Lori and family Steve, Stacy, and Raymond. As well as many other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Flynn, and parents Albie and Sheila Brandow.
A viewing will be held on Monday evening, October 5th, from 6-8 pm at Rigby Harting & Hagan Funeral Home at 15 East 4th Street, Media, PA and again Tuesday morning from 10:30-11 am. A service will follow at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 am. Burial: Media Cemetery.
Cindy will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
