Cindy Spencer (née Powell), age 60, a longtime resident of Swarthmore, PA, passed away at home on June 10, 2020.  She was a loving wife, a dedicated mother and a loyal daughter.

Cindy was born and raised in Woodlyn, PA to the late Howard Powell and Edith Powell (née Mauer). She obtained her Bachelor's in Business Administration from Widener University in 1982 and her MBA from Widener in 1984 after which she began her career in banking and finance.  She worked as a Business Banking Officer for Philadelphia Savings Fund Society and an Assistant Vice President and Commercial Lender for Bank & Trust Company Old York Road in Philadelphia.  She also worked for fifteen years as a Financial Sales Consultant for PNC Bank and recently served as a Care Giver for Kind Hearted Care in Swarthmore.  She was a member of St. John Chrysostom Church in Wallingford.  Cindy enjoyed treasure hunting at flea markets and had an impressive doll collection.

She was the beloved wife of Steve Spencer and mother to Shannon Spencer of Woburn, MA and David Spencer of Swarthmore, PA. She is survived by her mother, Edith Powell of Swarthmore, and siblings Howard Powell of Pocono Lake, PA, Wayne Powell of Downingtown and Lisa Deyoe of Ridley Park.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 18 at St. John Chrysostom Church (617 S. Providence Rd. Wallingford, PA 19086). Friends and family may call from 10 - 11 am. Mass will begin at 11 am.  Burial will follow at Media Cemetery.
