Christopher A. Ryder, age 60, a longtime resident of Broomall died peacefully at home on May 30, 2021.  He was the son of the late Richard Ryder and Mary Rita Carr Ryder and beloved father of Christopher and Nicole.

Christopher was born and raised in Broomall where he graduated from Marple Newtown High School in 1979.  He worked as a lab technician with Germantown Manufacturing, a commercial driver with Teamsters Local 463, and as a landscaper.  Chris was a lifetime member of St. Pius X Church. He was a huge fan of Philadelphia sports and a motorcycle enthusiast.  He loved being in nature whether it was gardening, hunting or fishing.

Christopher was preceded in death by his father, Richard "Dick" Ryder, and his brother Richard Ryder, Jr.

He is survived by his mother, Mary Rita Carr Ryder, his children Christopher Ryder, Jr. and Nicole Ryder, and siblings Mary Beth Bower and Gary Ryder both of Broomall.

Celebration of life will be celebrated on Saturday, June 5th at St. Pius X Church, 220 Lawrence Rd., Broomall, PA 19008.  Visitation in the church from 9:15-10 am.  Mass will begin at 10 am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Christopher's name to St. Pius X Church, 220 Lawrence Rd., Broomall, PA 19008.

Family and friends are welcome to gather at the family's home for a reception following the services.  600 Crum Creek Rd.  Broomall, PA 19008.
