Charles Joseph McClafferty Jr., age 75, passed away at home on January 28, 2023. He was a longtime resident of Secane and formerly of Philadelphia.

Charles was born to the late Dorothy (née Phillips) and Charles McClafferty Sr. He grew up in Southwest Philadelphia and was a graduate of West Catholic Boys, Class of 1965. Charles was a proud steamfitter with Local 420. He worked in Mechanical Equipment Service for nearly 40 years with York International.

Charles was a member of the Class of West Catholic '65 Club. He loved the Jersey Shore and looked forward to the annual Burrs at the Beach reunion in North Wildwood. He was also a member of the Steamfitter Retirees Club. He was a big fan of Notre Dame football and enjoyed attending the various events of his wonderful grandchildren.

Survivors include his children Michelle Pickett (Edward) of Springfield, Charles III of Secane, and his step-son, Robert Bain (Antonietta) of Ridley; four grandchildren Andrew, Allyson, Nicholas and Jackson; and his brother Francis of Secane.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Church (1 Fatima Dr. Secane, PA 19018) on Saturday, February 4th. Friends may call from 9:30 – 11 am. Mass will begin at 11 am followed by burial at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
