Carolyn went to her home in heaven on February 22, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on February 7, 1938 in Chester, PA, the daughter of W.J. "Jack" Harper and Emma Widdoes Harper.

She grew up in Lima, PA and graduated from the former Swarthmore High School in 1956.  After high school she volunteered at a children's missionary retreat in Arkansas.  She was employed by the former M&M Restaurant Supply Company in Aston, PA for many years and was subsequently employed by the Melmark School in Berwyn, PA.

At Melmark she loved working with the special needs people and they returned the love.  Carolyn was a foodie and loved cooking and making special dishes for her family.  She did exquisite cross-stitch, knitting and many other hand crafts.  Music was a very important part of her life and she loved taking long car rides with good music on the radio.  Ocean City, NJ was a very special place to her.  Carolyn had a very quick wit and a keen sense of humor.

She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Dawn Burnett, a brother W. J. "Jack" Harper Jr. and his wife Judy, and sisters Nancy Raynor and Bonnie Harper.  She was pre-deceased by her brothers George "Nip" Harper, B. David Harper and her niece Susan Raynor.  She has five special nephews, Kenneth and Scott Harper; George (Regina), David (Amie), and Timothy Raynor as well as many great nieces and nephews.  Carolyn left following a brief illness and was cared for by her sisters Nancy and Bonnie and nephew Timothy.  She will be dearly missed.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her memory to the Leukemia-Lymphoma association or the Hope Presbyterian Church at 977 Shavertown Rd, Garnet Valley, PA 19060.
