Carol Ann Merton, age 64, a longtime resident of Media, PA passed away on December 27, 2020. She was the daughter of Della and Alan Byles (deceased) and beloved wife of Stanley Merton, who predeceased her in 2014, and proud mother of Nicole and Ashley. Carol was many things but all who had the pleasure of loving her would describe her as a generous, caring, and selfless woman.

Born and raised in Springfield, PA, Carol was a graduate of Springfield High School. She most recently worked as the Director of Payroll and Benefits at Stream Companies for the last decade. Carol took great pride in her work and was a devoted team member. Her warm personality earned her the title of everyone's favorite work mom and truly a second mom to many.

Carol's greatest joy were her daughters. She lived for her girls and her girls lived for her, the three were inseparable. Whatever they were involved in, she was involved in, and not just on the sideline – she always jumped in giving 100%. From their years at Nativity volunteering as the Home and School Board President, organizing fundraisers & events which created memories for students' years to come. To their years playing and coaching volleyball where she helped run the club programs, volunteered as Booster Mom, and traveled all over the country so volleyball became a passion they shared together.

Carol was easy going and enjoyed any time spent with family or friends. She especially loved a long beach day, a good belly laugh, and had a special love for Christmas time.

Carol is survived by her adoring daughters Nicole DiCave (Jimmy) and Ashley Merton (Tyrek Nelson) along with siblings Paul Byles and Michelle Byles.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 5th at Nativity BVM in Media, PA. Mass will begin at 11:00am. Visitation will be held from 9:30–11am. Burial: SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
