Carol Van de Wall-Baca, age 79, of Media, PA passed away at home on June 5, 2022.  Beloved wife of the late Richard Baca who preceded her in death in 2020.  Carol was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.

Born in Philadelphia to the late Roelof and Mary (nee Walanus) Van de Wall, Carol spent her childhood years in Clifton Heights and graduated from Clifton Heights High School in 1961.  She graduated from Moore College of Art before beginning a long and fulfilling career as an art teacher.  She retired from Upper Darby School District after 30 years.  With a great passion for art, Carol taught water color classes, spent countless hours gardening and often visited Longwood Gardens.  She spent many summer days in Cape May, NJ.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Heather Callaghan Walsh (Paul) of Drexel Hill; step-daughters Meg McKillip (Jim) of Audubon and Beth Cavanaugh (Jim) of Audubon; 3 grandchildren Will & Sarah McKillip and Jack Cavanaugh.  She is also survived by her sister Jean Williams of Aldan, nephew John Williams, niece Megan Eckert, and great-niece Devyn Williams.

Carol's memorial service will be held at Rigby Harting & Hagan Funeral Home on Saturday, June 18, 2022. Visitation from 10-11 am.  The service will begin at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Providence Animal Center ( providenceac.org ) of Philadelphia Museum of Art ( philamuseum.org ).
