Carmela Schestok-Berry, age 84, died peacefully at home on August 16, 2025.  She was the beloved wife of John J. Berry with whom she shared 18 years of marriage. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Born and raised in South Philadelphia, Carmela was the daughter of the late James and Carmela Saetta.  She was a graduate of St. Maria Gorretti Catholic High School.  Carmela worked as a supervisor at Foam Fair Industries in Aldan, PA for over thirty years all while raising her two children, Carmela and Gustav. In later years, Carmela took pride in her role as a homemaker and wife to John.  Carmela enjoyed keeping in touch with friends on Facebook, fishing and camping.  She adored her dogs, Sammy and Alfy.

Carmela was preceded in death in 2023 by her daughter, Carmela Scully. She is survived by her husband, John; her son, Gustav Schestok; 6 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
