Bruce
Kapski
d. May 16, 2026
Bruce Kapski, age 77, a longtime resident of Media, PA, passed away peacefully at Riddle Hospital on May 16, 2026. He was surrounded by his loving family.
Bruce was the beloved husband of Marie Kapski (nee McLaughlin). Together they shared 53 wonderful years of marriage, residing in Media, where they raised their two daughters, Jessica and Cheyanne. As a husband and father, Bruce was absolutely devoted to his family, but he considered becoming a grandfather his life’s greatest blessing. He reveled in cheering on and supporting his grandkids throughout their various sports and endeavors.
Born and raised in Newtown Square, Bruce graduated from Marple Newtown High School in 1967. He was a proud veteran who served as a military police officer in the United States Army. Bruce worked for Weston Solutions as a facilities coordinator retiring in 2010 after four decades with the company. He was a devoted Philadelphia sports fan with a special love for the Flyers.
He found peace in nature, especially on the Chesapeake. He loved music and was an avid reader. Among his many volunteer efforts, Bruce proudly coordinated the construction of a park in West Goshen. His family will treasure the memories and will forever be grateful for the legacy he leaves behind.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents Stephen and Matilda (nee McKeon) Kapski.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marie Kapski; daughters, Jessica Hall (Ed) of Media and Cheyanne Huke (Tim) of Media; four grandchildren Leah Hall, Shane Hall, Claire Huke and Mikey Huke; along with his brother Stephen Kapski of Media; and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation at Rigby Harting & Hagan Funeral Home, 15 E. Fourth St. Media, PA on Wednesday evening, June 3rd from 6-8 pm and again Thursday morning (June 4th) from 10-11 am. A celebration of Bruce’s life will begin at 11 am Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bruce’s memory to a veterans organization of the donor’s choice.
