Barbara M. Hudson (nee Ingalls), age 84, died peacefully on January 2, 2023.  A longtime resident of Media, Barbara was the loving wife of the late Eugene George Hudson, Jr. who preceded her in death in 2017. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Born in Boston, MA to the late Helen (nee Geary) and Elliott Ingalls, Barbara spent her early years in Atlanta, GA where she graduated from Oglethorpe High School and met her future husband, Eugene.  They moved north and settled in the Media area after living in Bryn Mawr for nearly a decade. A mother of five, Barbara never missed a sporting event or a chance to support her children. She was very dedicated to her parish, Nativity B.V.M., and was involved with the Nativity Seniors Group.

Barbara worked in sales for nearly twenty years with the Bryn Mawr Hospital Thrift Shop. She loved to shop, was an avid crossword puzzler, and she was a huge fan of the Phillies.  She enjoyed days at the beach in Sea Isle City and Avalon and spending time with her grandkids.  Barbara was a kind-hearted person with a generous spirit.  She was loved by all who knew her.

Barbara is survived by her children Wayne T. Hudson Sr. of Stafford, VA, Kenneth T. Hudson Sr. of Springfield, Deborah A. Edwards of Swarthmore, Christopher J. Hudson of Broomall, and Stephen A. Hudson of Medford, NJ. She is also survived by nine beloved grandchildren and two great-grandchildren along with her cousin, Nancy J. Engdahl.

Friends and family are invited to Barbara's Memorial Service at Rigby Harting & Hagan Funeral Home, 15 E. Fourth St. Media, PA 19063 on Friday, January 6th.  There will be a visitation from 10-11 am with the service beginning at 11:00 am.
