Barbara Ann Cariola, age 75, passed away at Manor Care in King of Prussia on July 21, 2022.  Daughter of the late Michael and Viola Cariola, Barbara was born in Philadelphia and raised in Upper Darby, PA.  She was a 1965 graduate of St. Maria Goretti High School.  She was a longtime resident of Upper Darby and a former twenty year resident of Oxford, PA.

Barbara worked as a programmer for IBM for over 20 years.  With an interest in the medical field, she worked at Thomas Jefferson Hospital and volunteered as a Nurses Assistant with Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Darby as well as the Association of the Blind.  She was a former member of St. Gabriels Parish in Philadelphia. Barbara was an avid reader and a fan of the Phillies.

She is survived by her siblings Frank Cariola of King of Prussia, Margaret Appel of Notingham, PA, and Michael Cariola of Surprise, AZ along with two nephews.

Barbara's funeral service will be Friday, July 29, 2022 at Rigby Harting & Hagan Funeral Home.  There will be a calling from 9:30-10:30 followed by a service at 10:30.  Burial will follow at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
