Obituary

Austin P. Delozier      Highly decorated war veteran

age 88 years. Died November 11, 2019  (Fittingly on Veterans Day)  Mr. Delozier was born in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and made his home in Collingdale, PA for 57 years. After graduating from Walter Hill High School in Tennessee, he joined the U.S. Army and proudly served in Korea during the Korean Conflict with the 2nd Infantry Division. He was a decorated war veteran receiving his Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal, and 2 Bronze Stars. He was proud of his service and looked forward to Veterans Day celebrations.  After discharge from Active Duty in 1953, he served at The Collingdale Army Base, and later made Collingdale PA his home.

Mr. Delozier worked in the tropical plants and garden industry for most of his career for Vosters Nurseries for 26 years and Attick Florist Supplies for 7 years.  He was a die hard Eagles fan,liked the Phillies, college football, horse racing, and March Madness always looking forward to the NCAA Final Four. He also enjoyed play the slots.  Mr. Delozier was married for 43 years to the late Marion G. (nee Willey) Delozier. He was also pre deceased by his daughter Debra Delozier.

Mr. Delozier is survived by his son Stephen Delozier and his wife Gretchen of Media, PA.  his 3 grandchildren Rachael, Stephen T. and Elizabeth and his sister Esther Wright-Alsup

Funeral Service will be Saturday November 16, 2019  11:00 AM at The Rigby Harting & Hagan Funeral Home (15 E. Fourth St. Media, PA). Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at The Arlington Cemetery in Drexel Hill, PA
