Anne Veronica
Henry
Sep 24, 1939 — Apr 4, 2025
Anne Veronica Henry, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on April 4th 2025 at the age of 85. Born on September 24, 1939, in Trenton, New Jersey to Ann and Francis McGovern, Anne spent her life nurturing and caring for those around her, leaving a legacy of love and compassion that will be remembered by all who knew her.
Anne was the beloved wife of the late Deacon Edward "Mike" Henry. Mike and Anne met in high school and tackled both joys and challenges as they built a beautiful life together over more than 53 years of marriage. She is survived by her sons, Michael (Dolores) and Sean (Rita-Ann), who continue to carry forward her spirit of kindness and dedication. She was preceded in death by her cherished daughter, Blair Ann, who remains forever in the family's hearts.
Her love extended to her grandchildren - Michael (Catherine), Devin (William), Daniel (Jordan), Sean, Emily, and Joseph - and her great-grandchildren, Daniel and Blair Barbara (BB) who brought immense joy to her life.
As a sister, Anne shared deep bonds with her siblings, Robert (Alice), Frances (Steven), and her niece Jessica (Michael), who stood by her through life's many journeys. She spoke to Fran almost every day, and looked forward to every call, text, and scrabble game.
Anne's career as a nurse exemplified her unwavering commitment to healing and service. Her gentle touch and compassionate heart brought comfort to countless patients, and her dedication to others extended beyond her professional life. Anne generously volunteered her time at Cathedral Kitchen and the Clothing Center in Camden, New Jersey, where she served her community with warmth and grace. Anne enjoyed keeping up with the lives of her family and friends. She loved seeing your pictures and hearing the latest updates.
Her family and many friends will fondly recall Anne for her quiet strength, her unending empathy, her gentle disposition, and her humble creativity. Her selflessness and warmth knew no bounds, and her presence brightened the lives of all those fortunate enough to know her.
Anne is reunited in Heaven with Mike, Blair, Blair, Robert, Ann and Francis.
