Alice C. Usinger, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on June 12th 2023. She was 94 years young.

Alice was a talented painter, a published journalist, and had a wicked sense of humor. Throughout her life, she was the definition of strong-willed. One of the family's favorite, definitive stories is about when she had measles as a child. Her mother had to go out and get some medicine, and while she was gone, ten-year-old Alice strapped on her roller skates and skated all over their neighborhood. Nothing could keep her down if she was determined. That quality shone through in her relationships with her husband, her daughters, granddaughters, friends, and the animals she so passionately rescued.

May flights of angels sing thee to thy rest, Mama. You will be sorely missed.

Alice's memorial service will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Monday, June 19th at Rigby Harting & Hagan Funeral Home, 15 E. Fourth St. Media, PA 19063. There will be a visitation prior to the service from 10-11 am. Burial will follow at Media Cemetery.
