Alice Baccaro, a resident of Rose Tree Place, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2023 at the age of 90.  Devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Alice was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, Anthony Baccaro.  She is survived by her sons, Anthony Baccaro (Sylvie) of Chadds Ford and Richard Baccaro of Springfield, along with her grandchildren Gaetana and Giancarlo Baccaro.

With glowing gratitude we keep the memory of our dear mother alive.  Gratitude for her devotion to her family and the way every holiday became unique with her fabulous cooking.  It's those important simplicities of life that we keep with us now.  And we remember where she began her life in Camuy, Puerto Rico; that emerald cast of the coast along the horizon.  Magically unspoiled nature was a kind of painting where her life started.  Opportunity followed that and eventually she met her husband in Philadelphia.  And her constant encouragement was a key ingredient for his success.  The long walks that she took we remember and the three languages that she spoke.  Her great strength we remember and her expansive big heart.  Assuredly her big heart hasn't been physically hidden.  Assuredly it remains forever.

Mrs. Baccaro's funeral service will be held at the Rigby Harting & Hagan Funeral Home on Saturday, April 1, 2023. Friends and family may attend the visitation from 10-11 am followed by her funeral service at 11 am.  Burial: SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
