Alfred "Al" Mardarello, 85, former long-time resident of Hemlock Farms, Lords Valley, PA passed peacefully at his residence in Glen Mills, PA on October 26, 2023.
He was an active member of St. John Neumann Parish, Lords Valley and Knights of Columbus Council 12571 in which he had held several offices, including that of Grand Knight.
He was also an active member of the Columbia Italian-American Club and the 50Plus Club in Hemlock Farms.
A 1956 graduate of Demarest High School, Hoboken, NJ, he then graduated from Newark College of Engineering with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
He enjoyed a 40yr long career as a Ballistics & Ammunitions Expert while employed by Picatinny Arsenal, Dover, NJ. He also enjoyed piloting small aircraft and in more recent years spent hours building and flying remote controlled airplanes.
Al is survived by his wife of 33yrs, Rosanne (Ferrigno) Mardarello, his daughters, Lisa Mardarello Bingham (William) of West Milford, NJ and Karen Mardarello Incorvaia, of Carlstadt, NJ, and his step-daughter Brenda Stames (Michael), of Harbeson DE.  He also leaves his Brother & Sister-in-law, Anthony & Roberta Mardarello of Wake Forest, NC. He was predeceased by his parents, Isadore & Domenica (Gennaro) Mardarello and his sister Catherine Romano.  In addition he leaves two grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and grand nieces & nephews.
A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Saturday,  December 2nd, at 11:00am, in St. John Neumann Church, 705 Rt.739, Lords Valley,  PA. A repast will be held immediately following in the Parish Hall.  Family and friends are invited to the Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington NJ on Monday. December 4th, at 11:30am with luncheon to follow.
