Obituary

ALFRED ROBERT CRABILL, III , (aka "Rob") beloved partner, father and step father, brother, uncle and Pop "C", passed away peacefully on August 29, 2024, after a long illness, surrounded by his family. He was a life long resident of Southwest Philadelphia and a proud veteran of the United States Navy.

Rob is survived by his partner Stephanie Pearl, and family including siblings Michael, Gregg, Debbie and Jennifer, son Erik, and his grandchildren Jack, Matthew, Chase, Makenna, Reilly, Autumn (aka "Tink) and Raegan (aka "Peanut") and his for legged son Ziggy and daughter Metallica. In addition to many nephews and nieces. Rob is preceded by his parents Alfred and Caroline, his sister Katie and nephew Derek.

Rob will be forever known as a simple and hardworking man. Rob's charisma enlighted many people throughout the years. Rob was stern yet fair. He was the historian of the Crabill family and has completed genealogy history dating back to the 1800's. Rob was genuine and honorable yet was a force to be reckoned with at times. He was confident and a man of his word. If Rob had your back HE HAD your back.

His love and knowledge for music was impeccable. He felt the music, listened to the music and at times wrote the music. His music genre was vast and had an ear for poetic and story telling lyrics.

Rob's nickname back in the day was Ziggy when he traveled the Philippines. In his younger years, Rob served on the U.S.S. Constellation as a deck edge operator 1979-1983 and was discharged along with his many awards and honorable mentions during his military career. Rob will be honored in his death as a proud United States Veteran who served and protected his country. His death will receive military honors and remembrance.

Rob was also known as Pop "C" by his grandchildren and the unconditional love he had for them was, like no other. He gave each of his grandchildren Flyers shirts/jerseys for the holidays each and every year. His grandchildren were raised with the Flyers emblem and Pop "C" will be in engraved in their memories that when ever they see that orange and black emblem they will be thinking of Pop "C" always and forever

In lieu of cards and such from here on out whenever you see the Philadelphia Flyer's emblem you can think of Rob too. So now that is stuck in your head and Robs memory will live on.

Rob's favorite sayings is "Find humor in everything".

With that being said just know that Rob is having the last laugh in life and he is going to rock in the after life.

Rob's celebration of life events and military honors will be private.

PEACE OUT.
